Friday 5th November. Pizza. Hats. Cheers.

The Backpackers Boutique, a rather eclectically designed little spot was the setting for Friday nights gathering of fancy hats, pizza and general nervous (on our part) hilarity.
Then the Italians arrived and the crowd was hushed. Respect people. Respect.

We loved the Fri eve, cause it was such a nice chilled way to see ya all and have a little "hello" or two before the big, beautiful day where the time seems to fly away and you are complete unable to chat to everyone. Ag, maar, it was also just a good excuse to see more of you.

It's also, of course, always a good sign when your local wedding co-ordinator and chef extra-ordinaire join in for an opskop. Skitterend Nikki, skitterend.

For those of you who made it to the beautiful waterfall for sundowners, how exquisite? Magnificent testimony to His Majesty.
Thanks so the Bridesmaid Brigade who took care of logistics, and to Rich PA Walker for being the social contact person for most of the weekend as well as the lovely Jess Walker for sorting out Sunday's brunch/brekkie.

We love De Rust. We love you.

Saturday 6th. Here comes the sun.

"Here comes the sun, little darling. Here comes the sun I say. It's all right. It's all right."

The 6th of November was more than all right. The sun did come out even though the forecast told us there would be rain.
Here comes the sun was a little promise of something far bigger from the One who is the greatest.
Thank you.

The girls.
I would never have had the ridiculous amount of magnificent fun before and on the day if it wasn't for you my gorgeous, fabulous, darling friends. For all of your support, love, prayers, energy and va va voom, thank you.
Love, love, love you gals
Yours in aerobics

The boys.
Thank you for not shaving off all my chest hair and for everything else.

We are so grateful to Tim Tanser and Dominee Chris for leading the day and guiding us through our vows and praying for us as a couple. (Should anyone want a copy of Tim's address, I will gladly email it to you.)

Siobhan's reading was 1 John 4:7-16

Shawn read two of our  favourite Psalms:

Psalm 8. 3-5
When I consider your heavens,
the work of your fingers,
the moon and the stars,
which you have set in place,
4 what is mankind that you are mindful of them,
human beings that you care for them?

You have made them a little lower than the angels
and crowned them with glory and honour.

The second psalm sums up the majesty so visible and surrounding in the Karoo.

Psalm 19. 1 -4
The heavens declare the glory of God;
the skies proclaim the work of his hands.

Day after day they pour forth speech;
night after night they reveal knowledge.

They have no speech, they use no words;
no sound is heard from them.

Yet their voice goes out into all the earth,
their words to the ends of the world.

and then there was you dearests

Dearest, though you're the nearest to our hearts, please don't ever, ever say we'll part.
